03Questions

Questions about the newsletter and waitlist

Does it cost anything to sign up?

No. Signing up for the newsletter or the waitlist is free.

What is the difference between the newsletter and the waitlist?

The newsletter carries news and updates from Hlanganisa Collective. The waitlist tells you first when new creator opportunities open.

Why do I have to confirm my email address?

Confirming proves that the address is yours and that you chose to sign up. Nothing is sent to you until you click the confirmation link.

How do I unsubscribe?

Every message we send includes an unsubscribe link. Opening it and pressing the button stops our messages to that address.

Who can see my email address?

Only the Hlanganisa Collective team uses your address, and only for the subscription you chose. We do not sell it. The privacy notice sets out the details.

Is my information kept under South African law?

We process personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). The privacy notice explains what we keep, why, and how to ask us to remove it.

I did not receive the confirmation email. What should I do?

Check your spam or junk folder, then sign up again with the same address. If it still does not arrive, write to info@hlanganisacollective.co.za.

Does joining the waitlist mean I am a member?

No. The waitlist is an email list only. To be considered as a creator, complete the creator form at hlanganisacollective.co.za/join.
